Steven Meisel x Miu Miu

New campaign Miu Miu FW15 shot by Steven Meisel quotes brilliantly an important part of the history of American photography. I am talking about that current called street photography and celebrated in new ways (remind me critic texts and exhibitions curated by John Swarzowski, Director of Photography at MoMA) in the 70’s, thanks to the works of photographers as William Eggleston, Ernst Haas and Joel Meyerowitz who were able to use colours and street location to revolutionise photography. Well, models and poses remind me also earlier black-and-white photographers as Garry Winogrand and Lee Friedlander. Meisel’s work gets the result to well show Prada’s Miu Miu products and pay homage to an important past current of photography.
